A Note From A Virtual Friend

I wanted to share a note I just received from someone I’ve never met. I don’t even know her last name. She and I recently connected on Twitter. This made my day!

I’ve started reading your book last night. I wanted to tell you that it’s touching and thought provoking. I will continue to read but wanted to pause and send you a virtual hug! I literally have a highlighter! Honestly, I have no expertise in politics. I didn’t know who you were prior to finding you on Twitter. I’m not gay and haven’t been a card carrying Republican nor Democrat. I have voted across parties. I can’t imagine the barriers and bigotry that you’ve faced and the immense effort that went into changing perceptions. My only relational experience is that of a woman in the tech industry and those struggles making it into a VP of international operations role. I’m now happily pursuing my dream of writing. You’re inspirational! Have a good day! Now I’ll get back to reading…

Well, that certainly turned my down day around! (I really needed to hear that today.)

Have you read my book, No Hope: Why I Left the GOP (and You Should Too)? Let me know what you think. I love to hear feedback. (Also, please go over to Amazon and give it some stars!)

***UPDATE*** I now know my virtual friend’s last name! Her name is Tammy Ray. Thanks for the kind words, Tammy.
